In his book, “Where Our Food Comes From,” Gary Nahban (2009) states “it is the social, economic and political access to seed diversity at critical moments that can make or break a community’s means of achieving food security” (p. 192). FFSC believes now is the critical moment. Only by building community resources can we tap our social, economic and political power to leverage change.
