Meet Our Farmers
We’d like to introduce the farmers who grow organic seed for Family Farmers Seed Cooperative, allowing us to share the benefits of high quality, open-pollinated seed produced within and for organic farming systems.
Arid Crops Seed Cache
Joshua Cravens stewards the Arid Crop Seed Cache, a collection of over a thousand accessions with a tolerance for arid conditions. Joshua’s goal is to steward the plant’s ability to take care of itself. In addition to the stewarding the seed, Joshua seeks to contribute to the development of young seed savers with varietal improvement skills through his farm's internship program.
Cresset Community Farm
Situated along the Big Thompson River near Loveland, CO at an elevation of 4,800 ft. Cresset Community Farm is home to Lawrence and Ursula Holmes. His favorite seed crops include leeks, cabbage, beets and carrots.

They specialize in garlic, and also produce onion, lettuce and squash seed.
